About this home
Two lighthouses sold together. In this listing, Gravelly Shoal Lighthouse is located in the waters of Saginaw Bay and is another rare and historic beacon offered as part of this exceptional package. Known for its classic offshore design and remarkable engineering, this fully operational lighthouse includes the unique feature of a bunker structure, adding to both its functionality and historical significance. Standing proudly in the bay as it has for decades, Gravelly Shoal has also been updated and maintained, allowing the next owner the opportunity to focus on preservation rather than restoration. Its commanding presence and rich maritime history make it a truly one of a kind Michigan landmark. MLS #1946297 Nestled in the northeast corner of Lake Michigan, between Beaver Island and the mainland, the historic Skillagalee Lighthouse, meaning “Island of Pebbles,” stands as one of Michigan’s most iconic maritime treasures. This fully operational lighthouse has guided vessels through the rocks and shoals that make navigating the waters challenging. Rich in history and surrounded by breathtaking Great Lakes beauty, Skillagalee offers an extraordinary opportunity to preserve a true piece of Michigan’s nautical heritage. Carefully updated and maintained, the lighthouse remains fully functioning and simply requires continued stewardship for future generations to enjoy. These two lighthouses are being offered together as assets of a non-profit organization and may not be sold separately. For the individual who treasures Michigan, the Great Lakes, and the preservation of historic lighthouses, this is an incredibly rare opportunity to become the caretaker of two historic working lighthouses. The seller is seeking that special buyer who understands the significance of these beloved landmarks and will continue their legacy for years to come. DO NOT tour these lighthouses without permission from the Listing Agent. You will have to provide your own transportation.
